The Atlantic Culture Promotion Agency - APCA, in partnership with the cultural agency Digital in Berlin, returns another edition of the international Festival dedicated to electronic and experimental music - MADEIRADiG. From 28 November to 3 December, the 20 years of MADEIRADiG will be celebrated with a line-up again sensing by artistic diversity when it comes to scheduled artists.

They're part of this year's sound trail: Polish guitarist Raphael Rogiń​ski, Christina Kubisch, Norwegian saxophonist Bendik Giske, American guitarist David Grubbs, Evicshen, NikNak, Brighde Chaimbeul, and yet, the experimental trio 'Contagious' composed by Andrea Neumann, Sabine Erckllentz and Mieko Suzuki. Nik Cold Void and MAOTIK, will present an audio-visual piece entitled ‘Beyond Echoes’, which reflects on the passage of time and the concept of infinity, embracing the uncertainty by evaluating the harmony between order and chaos; an order from GNRation, Culturgest, Tremor Festival, and the MADEIRADiG.

The present edition, further, presents Simão Costa, a Portuguese pianist and transdisciplinary artist, who engages in a multidisciplinary path, working the musical composition,  the digital and interactive visual arts, exploring, further the interactions between art, science and technology.

MADEIRADiG returns, re-promising a variety of musical proposals that reflect different sensitivities and artistic currents of electronic and experimental music.

The MADEIRADiG festival maintains its partnerships with the Digital agency in Berlin and the Sun of the Sunshort Inn, further counting with the support of the Regional Culture Directorate through the House of CHANGES - Museum of Contemporary Art of Wood and the John Cultural Center of the Steps. The festival is also supported by the Portuguese Republic - Culture and Directorate General of Arts (DGArtes), under the program of supporting public programming and development projects in the New Media area.
