Archipel.eu Cultural Mapping is live!
May 20, 2023
The Archipel.eu program has already launched Archipel.eu Cultural Mapping. This is a valuable tool that connects cultural professionals from the Outermost Regions and the Overseas Countries and Territories of the European Union, providing contacts of artists and cultural entities available for networking and collaboration in various areas. One of the greatest difficulties in the cultural sector is finding partners who have mutual interests and objectives in the same area of intervention, which can lead to many projects not being carried out, or even to a marked lack of knowledge of possible partners who can support each other. Cultural Mapping thus responds to this gap, providing 172 contacts, 42 of which are from the Madeiran cultural community.
This digital tool was developed by APCA Madeira, a member of the pilot project Consortium, throughout its implementation and is currently in the final stage of recommendations, and is available on its official website:www.programme-archipel.eu. It is still possible to register to take part in the Mapping using the form also available on the website and social media.
It is worth remembering that APCA has been part of Archipel.eu since 2021, being the only Portuguese entity selected for the Consortium of the European Union pilot project, having competed against eight other applications from European public and private bodies. It should be noted that APCA's role in this program involves creating the communication strategy, through the development and management of the official Archipel.eu website (available in 4 languages), and is also responsible for the project's visual identity and global communication. Furthermore, it provides support in carrying out work for applications, beneficiaries and the mobility of artists, at the level of the Portuguese and Spanish ORs.
