Japanese artist Tatsuru Arai will present his audiovisual performance RE-SOLARIZATION on 18 November at 7PM at the John dos Passos Cultural Centre, as part of TRANSGRESSION art + technology LAPP 3 - Live Audiovisual Performance Programme.

RE-SOLARIZATION offers an audiovisual journey through the origins and evolution of life on Earth, taking solar energy as the fundamental driving force behind ecosystems. Through a narrative spanning differente moments in the planet's history, from its formation and the emergence of the first living organisms to the development of human civilisations and the construction of cities, the work explores the relationship between nature, science and technology.

Combining digital imagery, sound composition, algorithms and artificial intelligence, Tatsuru Arai creates an immersive experience that invites audiences to reflect on the evolution of life, the impact of technological advances and the ways in which they shape our perception of the universe. Flowers, as essential elements of terrestrial ecosystems, play a central role in this narrative, establishing a connection between nature, human history and technological transformation.

With an artistic and academic career spanning Japan and Germany, Tatsuru Arai is a composer and sound and visual artist. His work focuses on exploring the relationship between musical composition, algorithms and artificial intelligence, seeking new possibilities for artistic perception and experience.

He is the creator of the concepts of TRANS-AGES MUSIC and HYper-Serial Music, an approach to algorithmic composition that uses advanced technologies, including artificial intelligence, to explore new sound structures and push the boundaries of musical creation. His work has been presented in more than 60 cities at international festivals and events dedicated to contemporary art, experimental music and new media.

Tickets are available at Eventbrite, priced at 10€.

The performance is part of TRANSGRESSION art + technology LAPP 3 - Live Audiovisual Performance Programme, a programme dedicated to contemporary audiovisual performance that explores the intersection of art, technology and digital experimentation.
